Apart from spreading literary consciousness we also aim towards the total personality development of our fellow GTBITians. Under the able guidance of our foremost convener Dr. Manpreet Kang and our present convenor Ms.Seema Singh, our constant zeal for excellence is aptly tapped.
Our first event, Mindspeak 2k4, the intra college debate

contest was organized in April 2004 and was declared a success. All of our achievements would have been just dreams if we would not have received constant support and appreciation from our honorable ex-Director Maj Gen.(Retd.) S.S.Chahal. Every time we were in jeopardy, his experience and foresight showed us the right direction. We thank all those who have helped us come this far.

is a platform for creative, budding minds, where they can exhibit their oratory skills and try to make a difference in the present day society. It has played a major role in the amelioration of the college’s reputation in the NCR region and getting known in the DU circuit.
MINDSPEAK 2K4,2K5,2K6 (The annual intra college declamation + extempore competition)
All GTBITians are encouraged to speak without any nervousness and burdens.
PINNACLE 2K5,2K6 (Annual Personality Development And Placement Week)
An intra college event which comprises Group Discussions, Extempore competition, Personal Interview and a seminar given by our well placed seniors especially for the juniors
Workshops on Vedic Math, MBA preparation, facing interviews, placement preparation, vocab building have also been organized in correspondence with PT Education, Career Launcher, IMS, Mahavir Jain Academy.
Various events like Apprentice (The Real Managerial Event), Talk It Out (Group Discussion), Rhapsodize(Extempore), Bulls n Bears ( Stock Market Simulation), Enigma ( Brain Teaser event), Ad Mad ( Advertising ), Rampage ( LAN Gaming event) have been organized in GATES 2K4, GATES 2K5, GATES 2K6
GOALS
To test the technical knowledge of the students by conducting programming and scripting events
To prepare the students for upcoming placements every year by organizing competitions on all the technical subjects
To arrange Guest lectures from eminent scholars and distinguished personalities from the industry from time to time
To conduct workshops on forthcoming technologies and new trends of the market so that the students are aware of the choices, which are open to them, once they step into the industry.
To carry out other events which focus on the IQ development of the students
Divine Circle, the Divinity Society of Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology, a first of its kind in the college, was formed on the 12th of June, 2006, carrying out its first event on June 15, 2006. Since then there has been no looking back and DC has been involved in celebrating all the major Gurpurabs by the collective efforts of students and staff community.
The motives of DC are not just limited to merely celebrating Gurpurabs. The motives are far beyond. The community basically emphasizes on spreading the message of Gurbani through innovative ideas. In all the events of DC, the performance of the soul appealing Kirtan
is accompanied with line by line translation of the hymns being sung that keeps the listeners completely involved in the event.
Apart from that DC wants GTBIT not just to produce good engineer
s but engineers who are good human beings as well and who may work not just to make some people happy but to make their Lord happy. Such efforts would always be blessed by the Lord Himself and there could be no failures and disappointments for such people in life.
To achieve these goals, DC has been constantly involved in spreading the message of Gurbani by starting up a series of ‘Thought of the Week’ from Sri Guru Granth Sahib. Sri Guru Granth Sahib is a source scripture that teaches man to approach God through His adoration. One who reads the divine scripture is undoubtedly stirred to the depth by the spirit which pervades the holy poetry. There is no human chord that is not struck, there is no depth which is not stirred. It imparts the sparks of life that kindles the extinguished one and makes whole, the broken one.
To further develop one’s skill and talents, DC has also started up with Music Learning Classes that are open to all after the academic hours in the college campus. A respectable response by the students has made even this idea of DC a success.
Now DC coming a long way, has instilled an inspiration in several students to come forward and so have now started participating in various inter college events like Gurmat Quiz Competition, Declamation and Gurbani Recitation Competition, Kirtan Competition, etc. organized by University of Delhi, Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee, etc. And the joy lies in the fact that GTBIT students have been successful in these events and bagged several prizes and won accolades adding another feather to College’s cap.

This society aims at the holistic development of the students because we,at GTBIT believe that education is not a mere process of stuffing the heads with information. Rather, it is a process of complete nurturing of the body and soul.

TSG, the Technical Society of GTBIT was founded in August 2006 by a team of technically sound students under the guidance of Mr. Devendra Tayal. The society has been working round the clock for more than two years now.GOALS
