It won the Animation Prize at the Blue Mountains Film Festival, the Best Direction Award at the FirstGlance FilmFest Philadelphia, and the Best Animation Award at the Queensland New Filmmakers Awards in 2011. Gus is Andrew Martin's filmmaking debut and the first production for his company Honeydew Studios.
