Guy Gilchrist is a cartoonist/poet/songwriter and author whose work includes a run on the comic strip Nancy
, Your Angels Speak, Night Lights & Pillow Fights, Screams, The Poetry Guy, The Muppets and The Rock Channel. He currently writes and draws NANCY and TODAY'S DOGG, a panel launched in 2010 on FaceBook, and later picked up by www.comics.com, United Features' website. He has also written 49 books, and had songs he wrote or cowrote recorded by Suzy Bogguss, Glenn Douglas Tubb, Billy Swan,Eddie Kilgallon, Carol Hahn and others, as well as having his version of the songs "Victoria's Secret", "Heart Of The Night", "Christmas Light" and "I Don't Need You " played on Country Radio worldwide.
He won the National Cartoonist Society Magazine and Book Illustration Award for 1997 and 1998, and was nominated for their Book Illustration Award for 1999 and 2001.
