Gypsy Parade was a side project by Dave Douglas
, former drummer
of the Christian rock
band Relient K
. Unlike his other side project, Agnes, Douglas performed for Gypsy Parade with, Rachel Hoskins. They recorded a few songs for the project, and released them on their MySpace. One is called "Shining", another called "In Every Moment", and a newer one called "The Fight of Dugger Ripley".
Agnes was started in late 2005, and has the sound of Relient K
's earlier music. Gypsy Parade has an obvious rock sound to it, but is somewhat softer in parts of their current songs.
On October 19, 2007, Relient K
issued a statement that Dave Douglas
would be leaving the band after his final show on December 29th to pursue his music career with Gypsy Parade. Both Dave and Rachel Douglas have moved on from Gypsy Parade to start a new project, Attack Cat
.
A four track EP was released on July 2, 2009 and is available on itunes.
