Sinking

The submarine U-775 torpedoed and sunk HMS Bullen, the torpedo struck HMS Bullen midships. This incident happened at position 58°30′N 05°03′W northwest of Strathy Point, Scotland on 6 December 1944. Of the crew of HMS Bullen 71 died and 97 survived. The wrecksite is designated as a protected place under the Protection of Military Remains Act 1986
