that focuses on management software tools, methods and processes that help the IT department manage technology in a way that supports the business through the services they provide. The BSM methodology connects key IT components to the goals of the business so that the IT department can forecast how technology will affect the business and how business will impact the IT infrastructure. The HP BSM 9.0 suite is composed of HP Business Availability Center 9.0 (BAC ), HP Operations Manager i 9.0 (OMi) and HP Network Management Center (NMC) 9.0.

HP Business Availability Center 9.0 (BAC)

HP Business Availability Center (BAC) 9.0 is a suite of software tools and products that provide applications monitoring and diagnostics. One element of the suite is the BAC Anywhere service that allows the IT department to monitor external web applications from anywhere, even outside the firewall, from a single integrated console.

HP Operations Manager i 9.0 (OMi)

HP Operations Manager i 9.0 manages server operating systems and the applications that run on them. It uses “smart plug-ins” that automatically locate application changes and updates them. Using a "run-time service model," the software maintains an updated view of a company's application services, whether the applications are running in an on-premises, off-premises, physical or virtual environment. By doing this, the IT department is able to improve the performance of the services it provides to the business because it can troubleshoot and analyze service issues more quickly.

HP Network Management Center (NMC) 9.0

HP Network Management Center 9.0 provides the IT department with network visibility by connecting virtual services, physical networks and public cloud services together. The solution is designed to help IT departments unify fault, availability and performance capability with change, configuration and compliance. This is accomplished by automating the process workflow across these capabilities in an integrated manner.
