made a pact (seen in the Unthinkable story arc). They made a deal with Doom; if he sacrifices the only thing he ever truly loved they will give him increased magic powers. Doom does, killing his childhood sweetheart, Valeria. The demons come through with the deal.
As part of his confrontation with the Fantastic Four, Doom sends the Three Franklin Richards
, the son of his rival Reed Richards. The demons torture Franklin through visual horrors. Doom's demon granted powers also allow him to severely weaken the supernatural hero Doctor Strange
; the demons keep an eye on the magician.
During the final confrontation, Reed gets doom to declare that he owes nobody anything. This is in defiance of the Three's deal; in response they drag Doom down to hell to torture him. The Fantastic Four actually follow and rescue Franklin from the attention of the demons. Doom is left behind
Doom escapes for some time due to Mister Fantastic
, who believes that Doom will one day overwhelm the Three. The demons also claim to have tortured someone named 'Dillinger'.
