Hackaconda is a patch for stage2 boot image of Red Hat Enterprise Linux
(RHEL) of versions 5.3, 5.4 and 5.5 which adds possibility to use SCSI LUN (Logical Unit Number) instead of hard-drives device name for OS installation. This patch is useful whenever you have a lot of hard-drives attached to system those available to the system over multiply paths.
The patch adds some new options to kickstart
configuration file parser and fixes some bugs in Anaconda preventing RHEL 5.x from fully headless installation (like this one: Bug 456901).
