, the Boundary Commission for England reduced the number of constituencies across the boroughs of Brent and Camden from five to four. The seat of Hampstead and Kilburn is a new creation resulting from these changes.
Hampstead Town ward, Belsize ward, Swiss Cottage ward, Frognal and Fitzjohns ward, Fortune Green ward, West Hampstead ward, and Kilburn (Camden) ward were transferred from the former constituency of Hampstead and Highgate. Brondesbury Park ward, Kilburn (Brent) ward and part of Queens Park ward were transferred from the former constituency of Brent East. A small part of Queens Park ward was transferred from the former constituency of Brent South.
