to the south-east. The tower was originally armed with an 3-pounder gun and a ½-pounder gun, both too small to be of much use except to signal.
The tower is located a few hundred meters from two Neolithic temple sites, Mnajdra
and Ħaġar Qim. It stands on a cliff and has an excellent view of the island of Filfla
. The tower is between Għar Lapsi, in the district of Siggiewi, and Wied iz-Zurrieq, in the district of Qrendi.
