Hanover is a city in Hennepin
and Wright
counties in the U.S. state
of Minnesota
. The population was 2,938 at the 2010 census. Most of Hanover lies in Wright County; only a small part of the city extends into Hennepin County.
Even though Hanover is partly in the metropolitan county of Hennepin, it does not fall under the jurisdiction of the Twin Cities' Metropolitan Council
. Despite being a small city, Hanover has three progressive restaurant establishments which include ChopsBar.com, the Hilltop Bar, and the River Inn. They offer many options for the locals and visitors to Hanover.

The racial makeup of the city was 98.75% White, 0.07% Native American, 0.37% Asian, and 0.81% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.59% of the population.
There were 440 households out of which 48.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 76.4% were married couples
living together, 3.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 15.7% were non-families. 12.7% of all households were made up of individuals and 4.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.08 and the average family size was 3.38.
In the city the population was spread out with 33.4% under the age of 18, 7.3% from 18 to 24, 36.0% from 25 to 44, 18.7% from 45 to 64, and 4.6% who were 65 years of age onr older. The median age was 34 years. For every 100 females there were 100.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 104.8 males.
The median income for a household in the city was $73,667, and the median income for a family was $79,809. Males had a median income of $47,462 versus $32,452 for females. The per capita income
