, which was started in 1966 with Mr. T. R. Gupta as the Principal. It is based on the ideals of the DAV movement whose creed and guiding spirit are the words of Maharishi Swami Dayanand.
The school buildings consist of three and four storey buildings set amidst green lawns. The Kindergarten is housed in a separate 1.5 acres (6,070.3 m²) campus.
In June 2010, the school was conferred with the Science Intellect Trophy award by the Science Olympiad Foundation
. The principal of the school 'Dr. Rita Rajen Kumar' was conferred with the Best Principal award for the continued support rendered towards popularisation of Science, Maths and IT.
The club was inaugurated by Col. Bikram Singh, Director, Military Operations in 1999. Mrs. Anita Sharma, P.G.T. Mathematics, is the teacher in charge of Anubhuti. A talk was delivered by Dr. V.K. Srivastav, Prof. of Mathematics, Delhi University in 1999, on the role of teachers in controlling ill effects of media on young minds.
A virtual school has been created on the internet with the help of 'classteacher.com', which gives the syllabus, homework assignments, extra assignments, and sample papers for weak and bright students. Parents can view students attendance or marks obtained in examinations.
