On her personal starts, Bunschoten was eliminated in the semi-finals of the 100m Freestyle at the 1972 Summer Olympics, but ended up in sixth (200m Freestyle), seventh (400m Freestyle) and seventh (800m Freestyle) place in her other events. In the 1980s she started to work for television, first commentating swimming events, later presenting several others programs.
