 accredited camp. The camp is located in Blairstown, New Jersey. During the summer, there is a free summer camp program for children with cancer and their siblings. Off season Happiness Is Camping operates The Outdoor Center for schools churches and other nonprofits serving children.

History

Before the camp was called Happiness is Camping, it was called Camp Gramercy, a program for inner city kids. One year, however, a boy that was supposed to go to the camp acquired cancer. Murray Struver suggested that for that summer, they should allow children with cancer to go to the camp. Ever since 1980 the camp has been run by Happiness is Camping serving hundreds of sick kids every year and providing them a free summer camp program.
