Happy Body Slow Brain is a progressive R&B/Rock group from San Jose, CA and New York, NY. The band is composed of Matthew Fazzi (ex-guitarist/back-up vocalist of Taking Back Sunday

), was released September 21, 2010, and received favorable reviews from critics.
The band has been praised for meshing different musical styles to create a unique and atmospheric sound. Plans for a second record are currently in the works.

. Soon after, Fazzi recruited former Taking Back Sunday touring guitarist Isaac Bolivar, who played on the band's live albums Live from Bamboozle '09

, and recorded several demos of songs he had written during his tenure with Taking Back Sunday, which were stylistically different than the band's usual material. The band then enlisted Gavin Castleton Trio drummer Eduardo Torres and began work on their debut album, Dreams of Water

and Saves the Day
producer Marc Jacob Hudson in Michigan. The album was released digially through the band's website on September 21, 2010. The band then began touring with Helen Earth Band to promote their record. In late December 2010, Happy Body Slow Brain teamed up with photographer Clay Lancaster to film live performances of "Dreams of Water" in its entirety, and have been gradually releasing them track by track via their YouTube page.
In a recent interview with AbsolutePunk.net, Matthew Fazzi stated that the band has begun writing songs for their next record.
