The Marching Band is directed by Troy Thompson and Mickey Summerville, and competes in three or four contests every year. The band holds the Golden River Marching Festival. On average, around twenty bands come and perform for judges, being rated in band, visual ensemble, and percussion.

Student life
Haralson County High School organizations and activities include band, chorus, drama, clubs, and athletics. In 2007, a fine arts facility was constructed, providing new classrooms for band, chorus, and visual art. The facility has a 500 seat theater.Athletics
Football is one of the many sports at Haralson County with large attendance at games from the local community. Other sports include tennis, softball, baseball, volleyball, cross-country, track and field, and basketball. A practice gym was constructed along with renovations to the stadium as a part of the 2007 construction projects.Freshman Academy
The Freshman Academy is a separate building built for incoming freshmen. Its purpose is to make the transition from middle to high school easier for the students.Extracurricular classes
At Haralson County High students can choose from extracurricular activities such as chorus, drama, visual art, computer technology, and work apprentice programs. There are carpentry classes and a mechanical shop. The apprentice program allows upperclassmen to leave school early and work alongside professionals or be a student aid worker for teachers or office staff.
