Harimau Muda B or Malaysia national under-19 football team also known as Malaysia U-19 is an under-19 soccer
team from Malaysia. The team's squad is made up of members of the Malaysia national under-19 football team. The team comes under the direct control of the Football Association of Malaysia
(FAM), but is managed as a football club and has competed in Malaysia's domestic professional football competitions since the 2007-08 season. Harimau Muda
currently competes in the Malaysia Premier League and FA Cup Malaysia. By entering Harimau Muda
domestic competitions, the FAM hopes to expose Malaysia's top under-19 players to top-level competition, thus helping to prepare them for international tournaments. As such, Harimau Muda
is one of only a few football clubs in the world which places an age-restrictions on team members while playing in a national professional league. The team is for players aged 19 and less until the aged of 17 while Harimau Muda A is in charged of the aged 19 and over players.
The team is aimed at developing Malaysian youth players and will not recruit any foreign nationals in its squad.
The name "Harimau Muda" means "Young Tigers" in English

On July 2009, The Harimau Muda were split in to 2 teams. Harimau Muda A and Harimau Muda B. The Harimau Muda A were sent to Zibo
, China
to participate in the 2010 AFC U-19 Championship qualification and Harimau Muda B were to participate in the Premier League and the FA Cup.
During the 2010 season, Harimau Muda A went to a training camp in Zlaté Moravce
, Slovakia
for 8 months while Harimau Muda B participated in the 2010 Malaysia Premier League
.
On the 2011 season, Harimau Muda A joined the 2011 Super League Malaysia
replacing KL PLUS FC
and Harimau Muda B continued to play in the Malaysia Premier League
. Harimau Muda A finished 5th while Harimau Muda B played their worst season being in the bottom 3. However, they managed to avoid relegation and will continue to play in the Malaysia Premier League.
For the 2012 season, Harimau Muda A swapped places with the Young Lions
of Singapore
, which is made up of the Singapore's national under-23 team. Young Lions
will replace Harimau Muda A in the Super League
while the Harimau Muda A will replace the Young Lions
in the S. League. Harimau Muda B will continue to participate in the Malaysia Premier League.
