Harriet Dobbs

Harriet Dobbs a member of the family of Castle Dobbs, Co. Antrim, was from Dublin where she married her husband, Robert David Cartwright. He was the son of Richard Cartwright

and, because of her husband's work with Archdeacon George Okill Stuart
, she was drawn into charity work. She joined the Female Benevolent Society which provided much needed assisance for the sick and their families. This organization became a lifelong commitment to the FBS and its worthwhile causes.
