teams in 14 sports. The 1987 varsity football team, coached by the legendary Lewis Lineberger, won the Division II AAAA State Championship against Westside, 29-10. This team is widely considered one of the most talented to take the field at the high school level. The 1988 team won the state championship as well.
Their band has won the 2009 Lowerstate Championship. The Red Regime will have the honor of representing South Carolina in the 2011 National Memorial Day parade in Washington D.C.
