Police arrested him in March 2007. He pled not guilty on 4 April 2007. On 5 March 2008 Abujihaad was convicted by a jury. Federal prosecutors said the 32-year-old sympathized with the enemy and admitted disclosing military intelligence. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison, the maximum penalty for his crime.
