. The event drew in some 500 spectators and Sabick donated ten percent of the night's proceeds to a local youth wrestling program.
Heavy On Wrestling held its second live event on November 17, 2007 at the Duluth Skydome. The show featured Christy Hemme
, Jake "The Snake" Roberts
and Solofa Fatu
among several other independent
wrestlers.
The third event entitled "Crossing The Line" was held June 14, 2008 and featured Nick Dinsmore
, Terry Funk
, Lacey Von Erich
, and The Honky Tonk Man
. Capping off the night was an exciting triple threat ladder match between Ben Sailer, Nate Bash, and Joey Envy. The match spilled out in to the crowd. Bash suffered a legitimate head injury when he landed awkwardly on a chair, but he continued the match. Two tables and a step ladder were broken before Sailer climbed to the top, earning him a shot against Arik Cannon for the HOW championship at a future show. This event topped 800 in ticket sales.
The fourth event "Insult To Injury" was held August 15, 2008 at the Hoghead Festival in Proctor, MN.
The fifth event, entitled "Have a Funkin' Nice Day" will be held at Mertz Mortarelli Field House on the UWS
campus and will feature Terry Funk returning for a 2nd appearance, and Mick Foley
, and Kara Drew
. The event was HOW's most successful to date, drawing in over 1,000 spectators.
Several more house show events (promoted mainly as a partnership with F1rst Wrestling) occurred throughout Wisconsin and Minnesota. Several stars including Jake the Snake, Honky Tonk Man, Rikishi, Scotty 2 Hotty, Al Snow, Buck Zumhofe, and many others were on tour. A stop in Minneapolis and Superior, WI included an all girls event with appearances by Victoria, Sunny, Stacy "Miss Kitty" Carter, Roxxi, Daffney, Awesome Kong, ODB, Molly Holly, and several others.
"Rumble at the Garden" is scheduled for May 27, 2010 which will include an autograph session with Ric Flair, an appearance by both Baron Von Raschke and Shawn Daivari, and the unveiling of the new HOW championship title belt.
Heavy on Wrestling is also scheduled to debut at the DECC arena in April 2011 in conjunction with the Autorama Auto Show.
