, which was once indicative of the north endpoint of the city. Though originally famous for Hebbal Lake
, it is now better known for the serpentine maze of flyovers that network the Outer Ring Road
and Bellary Road. The flyover spans a length of 5.23 kilometres (3.2 mi) over all the loops combined. The flyover was built by Gammon India
. The lake area is well known for the park, the boating facility, and for the bird watching

Hebbal used to be the end of the corporation limits of Bangalore
City. One can still see the milestone between the Baptist hospital and checkpost. Bangalore has now grown quite a bit towards north, beyond these marks. The commencement of the Bengaluru International Airport (BIAL) at Devanahalli in 2008 has ensured that Hebbal has become a very important location for the passengers flying out of Bangalore. All arterial roads and road networks leading to the BIAL intersect at Hebbal. Further, BIAL has its office on the National Highway (NH 7) exit of the Hebbal flyover in Gayathri Lake Front.
Hebbal hosts several companies, such as AstraZeneca
, Integra Micro Software Services, CEFA and MRO Tech. Embassy Kirslokar Business Park has changed this small semi-urban neighbourhood of Hebbal Kempapura into a sprawling modern office commercial hub. The Esteem Plaza and the Columbia Asia Medical Center is definitely one of the high-end secondary care hospitals in the north of Bangalore. With Godrej Propertieshttp://www.godrejproperties.com developing the Woodsman Estate, residential development in the area has also been incubated. Along the Outer Ring Road
