Henricus Gregorius Jozeph "Henk" Kamp (born July 23, 1952) is a Dutch
politician of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy
(VVD). He is the Minister of Social Affairs and Employment
since October 14, 2010 in the Cabinet Rutte
. He was the Commissioner
of the Netherlands Antilles
from January 1, 2009 until October, 10 2010. He served as Minister of Housing, Spatial Planning and the Environment from July 22, 2002 until May, 27 2003 in the in the Cabinet Balkenende I. He was Minister of Defense from December 12, 2002 until February 22, 2007 in the Cabinets Balkenende II and III. And a Member of the House of Representatives from May, 17 1994 until July 22, 2002 and again from November 30, 2006 until December 18, 2008, when he resigned to become the Commissioner

As part of his "farewell tour" as Minister of Defence, Henk Kamp visited the Dutch troops in Afghanistan and paid his respects to president Hamid Karzai
