Henry Arthur Cadogan, Viscount Chelsea, DL
(13 June 1868 – 2 July 1908) was a British Conservative
politician.
Lord Chelsea was the second son of the 5th Earl Cadogan
and his first wife, Beatrix, a daughter of the 2nd Earl of Craven
. On 30 April 1892, he married Hon. Mildred Sturt (a daughter of the 1st Baron Alington
) and they had six children:
Prior to becoming MP
for Bury St Edmunds
in 1892, Lord Chelsea was a captain in the 3rd Battalion of the Royal Fusiliers and some time Private Secretary
to a First Lord of the Treasury
. He died in 1908 and his wife later remarried — firstly to Hedworth Lambton (later Meux)
(a son of the 2nd Earl of Durham
) in 1910 and then to Lord Charles Montagu (a son of the 7th Duke of Manchester
) in 1930.
