Marriage and issue

On 4 August 1799 he married his first wife, Princess Jenny von Schönburg-Waldenburg (4 October 1780-29. August 1809). On 30 December 1810, he married his second wife, Baroness Eberhardine von der Reck, the daughter of the Prussian State Minister Eberhard von der Reck (25 January 1785-24 October 1852.).
