by McDowell in 1964.
Some other species, initially placed here also, are now in different genera. The Sulawesi Forest Turtle
is now classified under Leucocephalon, the Philippine Pond Turtle
under Siebenrockiella
, and the Cochin Forest Cane Turtle under Vijayachelys.
