Heritage International Ministries (H.I.M.) is the new name given to the former Heritage USA
facilities in Fort Mill, South Carolina
purchased by MorningStar Fellowship Church in 2004. MorningStar purchased the former 501 room Heritage Grand Hotel and Conference Center, the adjacent unfinished 21-story Heritage Towers, the "Sand Castle" (originally to have been a Wendy's restaurant) and 52 acres (210,436.7 m²) of adjoining property. The facilities are currently undergoing renovations. MorningStar holds church services in the hotel lobby and has restored a majority of the five hundred and one hotel rooms. The hotel is now used as a retreat and conference center. The adjacent Main Street USA shops have been reopened and are used as retail shops and classrooms with the hotel rooms above having been converted to apartments/dormatories. The uncompleted high-rise tower will be finished and used as an assisted living facility/retirement complex. It will be known as Heritage Towers. http://www.heraldonline.com/109/story/113503.html The Sand Castle will not be renovated and used as a youth ministry/children's center, as originally planned, however. Further research is scheduled to be performed by experts before a recommendation can be made upon the future of the structure. MorningStar Ministries was founded by Rick Joyner
and wife Julie.
