Health System. In the summer of 2005, construction was completed on the West Tower, adding 103 bed spaces (for a total of 424) as well as two new operating rooms, an endovascular suite for minimally-invasive vascular procedures, and an expanded William B. Hirsch Cancer Center.
This expanded center offers a full range of care, featuring Cleveland Clinic
radiation oncologists and gynecological cancer care and treatment.
In 2006, Hillcrest Hospital broke ground on a large expansion project valued at $163 million. This project is scheduled for completion in late 2011, and includes a new bed tower and large expansions on the current surgery and emergency departments. Whiting-Turner Contracting Co. is the general contractor for the project, with its headquarters located in Baltimore, Md.
