Hizma, or Hizme, may also refer to an Israeli checkpoint between Jerusalem and the West Bank. The checkpoint is adjacent to the town of Hizma and is named for it. The Hizma checkpoint is located on the Jerusalem municipal boundary and at an opening in the security barrier. Since the erection of the security barrier a number of Hizmas Palestinian residents live on the western side of it. They are restricted in their movements to Hizma itself as well as to Jerusalem being citizens of Palestine. The Jerusalem neighbourhood of Pisgat Ze'ev lies on the Jerusalem side of the checkpoint, with the town of Hizma lying on the West Bank side.
