. The graduating class of 2009 was the first class to graduate from the school's new building. A brand new school was built at 2211 E. 10th St. The old high school was located at 36 E. 8th St. and has now become the middle school.

Sports

The sports teams of Hobart High School are known as the "Brickies". The unique name is due to the local brick yards that were located in Hobart and employed many people in the area. The school mascot is a bricklayer named Yohann. The school colors are Purple and Gold.

team won 4 state championships in 1987, 1989, 1991, 1993,and semi-state champs in 1979, 1980, 1982, 1984, 1985, 1987, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1993, 1996.

Boy's Tennis

The boys tennis team at HHS has only recently won their first ever Sectional title in their 2009 season. They repeated their success with another sectional title in 2010.

The first sectional title was won under the leadership of Colin May and Dean Wolff. The lineup of the team was as follows:

|VARSITY DOUBLES| #1 - Michael Bodamer & Jason Williams, #2 - Chris Moore & Nicholas Lafty

Their 2010 Sectional title was under the wing of Karen Blauww and David Cafmeyer. The lineup of the team was as follows:

|VARSITY DOUBLES| #1 - Chris Moore & Justin Machaj, #2 - Tyler Grynovich & Nicholas Lafty

The 2009 and 2010 team's skill in the annual New Prairie Tournament was exceptional. The Brickies were in a 3-way tie for 1st in 2009. In 2010 the Bricks took 1st place.
