Hockey Québec was organized in 1976 to take over from the various organizations governing hockey in Quebec, such as the Quebec Amateur Hockey Association which had existed since the 1910s.Quebec Amateur Hockey Association
The Quebec Amateur Hockey Association (QAHA) was organized in Montreal on January 19, 1919, at the Montreal Amateur Athletic Association club house.
