  • In 1945, Karl F. Keller founded 'Hofer Konzertorchester'.

  • In 1965, Wilfried Anton assumed directorship of Hofer Symphoniker and is largely responsible for the reputation and success of the current symphony.

  • In 1978, Hofer Symphoniker opened their own school of music, used to train future talents. As such, it is the only school of music in all of Germany that is attached to a professional symphony orchestra.
