His playing level dropped considerably, which made it difficult for him to remain in one club. Having resolved his problems with alcohol, Peralta tried to regain the high level he had in the past. He seems to be returning to a good game level, and is steadily improving with the Mexican club, Puebla. He scored 3 high quality goals in 11 games in the present Mexican Apertura 2008 tournament, and assisted in two other goals.
