Francine starts to worry about the effect spending all of the time in the tub is having on Stan and orders him to stay out of it too. That night, the tub calls to Stan and he is drawn to it, annoying Francine who gives Stan an ultimatum: the tub or her. When Stan chooses the tub, Francine packs the rest of the family and leaves for her parents' house. Still unable to shake his suspicions about the hot tub, Margarite investigates and finds out that the hot tub came alive after being struck by lightning and killed its original owner and later escaped from a mental hospital.
Margarite calls up Principal Lewis and they go to Stan's house where the tub swallows Lewis. Margarite tries to escape but the hot tub fills his car full of water, causing him to crash into a tree and die. The tub then calls Francine and imitates Stan to draw her back home. Stan arrives at Francine's parents' house just after Francine leaves and discovers the deception, returning home just as the tub swallows Francine. The tub then tells its story about how it once belonged to a bachelor named Joe who had parties all the time until he got married and had a family. After that, they started using it less and less until they started using it as a storage space instead. Distraught over this, it killed Joe's family. After hearing this, Stan tries to recover Francine but the tub blasts him from the house, leaving him sprawled on the pavement. At the last moment Stan remembers the "Spa Down" Margarite had given him for "calming down" his tub; unfortunately, he succumbs to his wounds and the episode ends with Cee Lo announcing Stan is now dead, ending the episode abruptly.

graded the episode a B+, stating "This wasn't, perhaps, the gut-bustingly funny American Dad that the show can be at its best, but audacity in musical form is just about as good. American Dad used tonight's season premiere to establish itself as the weird middle sibling of the Fox animated shows. Right now, it's probably also the best of them".
