Hudson Swan is a Scottish

He started learning to play the violin
at the age of seven after encouragement from a fiddle playing uncle. In 1972 he joined Traditional Scottish Band, The Tannahill Weavers
whom he performed with until 1982. During this period he played on the band's first three albums and toured extensively throughout Europe and Canada.
After leaving the band he formed his own band, The Hudson Swan Band and released two albums "Prospect Lane" and "Flyte of Fancy" on the KRL Lochshore record label. This band was however short lived.
Hudson Swan now lives in Cornwall where he works as a teacher for Music Cornwall passing on his skills as a traditional fiddle player to school children throughout the county. He now performs with folk rock band Gallowglass, and is also musical director of The Cornwall Fiddle Orchestra http://www.cornwallfiddleorchestra.com/index.htm.
