, replacing the Omega
. It is reported to deliver an estimated 385 hp and 333 ft.lbf of torque
-- on premium unleaded fuel -- at 4.6 l (280 cu in). Currently, the 5 l (305 cu in) version of the engine delivers 429 hp and 376 ft.lbf on premium unleaded fuel. The engine is currently being used in the Hyundai Equus
and can adapt to run on regular fuel without damage however; doing so will slightly lower performance ratings. Reports also suggest the engine might be produced in 5.5 l (335 cu in) displacement, with a supercharger
installed from the factory.
