Presenting Iranian films at world festivals, on satellite and cable channels or for home entertainment, has returned positive results over the recent years. It has also served to familiarize global audiences with the works, thus providing the grounds for the growth of the industry. The iFilm Arabic film and serial network has been designed based on this experience and it is being put through the initial stages of its launch.

Audience

The 300 million strong Arab speaking societies around the globe would hopefully form the audience for this network. It aims to present TV dramas produced in Iran to the Arab World and in particular, the Middle East region. The network will attempt to present a true likeness of the social and cultural potentials in Iran and reinforce friendship and affection among Iranians and Arab speaking people. The TV entertainment programs in today's world place too much reliance on elements like sex or violence; the latter problem creates concern and anxiety for Muslim audiences and their families when looking to access TV entertainment channels.

Taking into account the healthy moral outlook of Iranians on visual arts, Muslim families can absorb this network's programs with complete confidence.

Programs

The iFilm Network is planned as a 24-hour TV channel. The broadcasts will begin from 18-00 until 2-00 Mecca time Zone (18-30 to 2-30 Tehran Time Zone) - the most popular with Middle Eastern audiences. The network will broadcast each day in three 8-hour end-to-end séances; the first 8-hour séances will have the latest films and in two other séances, all programs will be repeated so that audiences can access their favorite programs regardless of the time zone variations around the globe.

TV series, movies, live quizzes on arts, backstage documentaries on films and ongoing productions, movie and film reviews, short films and documentaries about Iran, commercials and more are from parts of the daily programming for the network.
