Fictional character biography

Ikonn is most often invoked to produce a powerful spell of illusion-crafting called "The Images of Ikonn," and to banish illusions as well. Ikonn can create extremely believable illusions of a near-infinite variety, from merely perfect duplicate copies of the sorcerer to imitating powerful cosmic entities as Galactus

, titled the "Lord of Illusions." Capable of effortlessly levitating, Ikonn, bearing a form of immortality due to its surviving for at least thousands of years, can disrupt reality, and if it gains control over a world Ikonn can make its illusions real, even to the point of disrupting the very fabric of time and space, bound with matter and reality itself.

Meeting with the Octessence to establish the terms of the Wager, it appeared as a greyish insectoid/humanoid adorned with dark greenish spikes and pupil-less grey-green eyes. Each limb ended in four radially-arranged claws. It had a proboscis where the mouth would normally be. As with any being so powerful, and especially one versed in illusion, one can only speculate as to Ikonn's real form. For the Wager, it invested power into the Ivory Idol of Ikonn, a token that granted Olisa Kabaki powerful telepathic and mind control abilities as the Exemplar Bedlam.

Mr. Rasputin, a descendant of the original Rasputin, was the first known to entreat Ikonn, gaining a certain mastery at least nearing that of the Sorcerer Supreme

's. However, Rasputin was able to entreat Ikonn for malevolent purposes. Over the years the entreating of Ikonn has progressed from a “forbidden ritual” to a not uncommon practice.

Powers and abilities

Ikonn's illusions are strong enough to affect even powerful cosmic beings as Galactus

with shades of his victims at a weakened level as Strange aided the Fantastic Four repelling the latter when he attempted to devour Earth once again.
