Inch was a pop-punk band formed in San Diego in 1992. The group was founded by former Sub Society vocalist Michael "Stimy" Steinman and bassist Jeff Reese.

Band history

Inch was formed in 1992 by Michael "Stimy" Steinman, Jeff Reese and Michael Paprocki. Steinman was the former lead singer of Sub Society, a band who achieved notoriety by being featured in several H-Street skateboarding videos. Inch released their debut album, Stresser, on independent label Seed Records in 1994 before signing with Atlantic Records. Inch's second album, Dot Class "C", was released by Atlantic in 1996. The song "For Duty And Humanity" was also featured on the soundtrack of the 1996 comedy film Flirting With Disaster.

The band was soon dropped by Atlantic and signed to Headhunter Records

Headhunter Records

, which re-released Dot Class "C" in 1997. The album was also released on vinyl in 1997 by San Diego-based Goldenrod/Trademark Records in a limited, 750-copy pressing. In 1997, Inch took home "Best Alternative Rock" honors at the San Diego Music Awards and spent the summer playing the second stage of the traveling Lollapalooza

Lollapalooza

 tour. The band's third and final album, This Will Fall on Dead Ears, was released by Headhunter in 1998.

Hiatus

Inch would go on hiatus in 1999 and the remaining band member would go their separate ways. Steinman would go on to form Congress Of The Cow, which would later be named Best New Artist at the 2002 San Diego Music Awards. He would also later join Colorado-based band Harvey Knuckles.
