is a rural two lane highway which passes though New Albany
in the far southern portion of the state. It has existed since 1935.
. It continues to follow the river toward New Albany, where it is concurrent with Main Street and passes under Interstate 64
and U.S. Route 150
(with no interchange). Leaving Main Street, it follows Vincennes Street, then Charlestown Road. State Road 311
begins where State Road 111 turns onto Beechwood Avenue; the former runs northeast whereas the latter runs northwest, then follows the north–south Grant Line Road. On the north side of town, it has an interchange with Interstate 265
at exit number 3, then continues to its northern terminus at State Road 60
near Bennettsville

The southern terminus of State Road 111 is at a dead end on the shores of the Ohio River, near the small community of New Boston.
