IndieFlix is an online marketplace and distributor of over 2,500 film festival-selected independent films screened from countries worldwide. The company offers a video streaming membership service, created Film Festival in a Box, hosts Film Festivals Online, and established the IndieFlix Foundation. IndieFlix was founded by Scilla Andreen and Carlo Scandiuzzi who felt that high quality films should have access to distribution even without major studio backing. The idea was inspired by their personal experience in which Andreen and Scandiuzzi were offered distribution deals with various major distributors such as ArtisanArtisan Entertainment
