Robert Ingstad started in the family business by owning several radio stations with his wife Janice, including the flagship radio station of the Ingstad family, KOVC
, which was put on the air in 1936 by his father Robert Ingstad Sr.
Robert Jr. died on May 4, 2007, and his widow Janice continues to own and operate the stations.
