Inna Iosifovna Gulaya was a Soviet theatre and cinema actress and Meritorious Artist
of the RSFSR.
Her husband, Gennady Shpalikov
, a heavy drinker, hanged himself in 1974. Gulaya committed suicide sixteen years later. According to one investigation, the cause of her death was the overdose of sleeping pills.
