Origins
Jan 2007 saw the birth of the INDYWOOD PROJECT, Antony Lane was in his final year of film school when he came up with a crazy unique concept for a ZOMBIE film. Over the course of the next 3 years he dedicated his life into raising awareness for his movie on the internet and began developing the first part to his planned trilogy. Raising money to make a film has to be one of the biggest struggles for any filmmaker, especially when you have no feature film experience and no contacts to open up doors, with his passion and motivation Antony began using the internet to attempt to raise his films budget independently, unfortunately his first FOUR attempts raised very little money, but instead he found that he was able to attract big names to support his project, media for the movie began mounting up and within 2 years of promoting 'INVASION' around the net, a very strong fan base began to evolve. In 2007, just when the movie seemed to be moving forward Antony was brutally attacked leaving him with a broken bone to his back and making him housebound for several months, his confidence was at an all time low, the films future began to look uncertain... Marketing
The film has been entirely funded by social network crowd-sourcing. In essence the films greatest marketing has been in its unique (for its time) funding methodology. Antony Lane's primary marketing tool has been Twitter and as well as fund raising he has executed several 'Twitterthons' whereby he has stayed awake for extended periods of time just fund raising on twitter.Trivia

- The various cars seen abandoned during shooting were rented from a scrap metal dealer. Most of them still worked though.
