The Investment Banking Center (also known as the IBC) is a building complex in Frankfurt
. It consists of three parts of the building known as Elements A, B and C, with the highest (Element C) is one high-rise building with a 112-meter height and 30 floors. The other two buildings have 10 floors. The middle building houses investment bankers.
The building was built by Deutsche Bank
on a design by architect Kohler and was completed in 2003. It is situated at the Theodor-Heuss-Allee 70-74 in the Bockenheim quarter close to the Frankfurt fair.
Originally, the Deutsche Bank planned to concentrate in the building complex its Frankfurt trader. This has never been implemented. Finally, the Deutsche Bank sold the entire building to the U.S. financial investor Blackstone Group, and even rented the building, only part B, in which were housed the German Private and Business Bank AG as well as parts of the HR unit of the German banking group. The component A was in 2004 largely at the Degussa Bank GmbH, ING Real Estate Development and Construction, INDUSTRIA rental company rented mbH.
In 2006, the German bank leased the entire high-rise, as was used for an extensive renovation of the headquarters of the Taunusanlage an alternative accommodation for the staff. Thus, the IBC complex is 100 percent leased.
