 and the Iraqi National Dialogue Front led by Saleh al-Mutlaq. The party includes both Shi'a leaders (like Allawi) and Sunni leaders (like al-Mutlaq and al-Hashimi) and claims to be secular and non-sectarian.

In February, after appeals against a ban on Iraqi National Dialogue Front leader Saleh al-Mutlaq were rejected, the Iraqi National Dialogue Front decided to boycott the elections in protest of the decision and urged other parties to boycott as well. Later, on 25 February al-Mutlaq announced that his party will take part in the upcoming general election and urged his followers to turn out en masse to avoid fraud.

With 2,849,612 votes (24.7%) and 91 seats the Iraqiya List became the biggest list in the elections, winning two seats more than Nouri al-Maliki
