. The majority of the songs are parodies of Irish folk songs (although not necessarily drinking songs, as the album title suggests), with new cat-themed lyrics written by Marc Gunn. He later released Irish Drinking Songs: A Cat Lover's Companion which contained the 'traditional' versions of the songs he filked.
