, Pedersen won the gold in the 100 m hurdles (76.2 cm) with a time of 13.23 seconds. In winning, she became Norway's first ever world youth champion. Her time of 13.20 in the semifinals was a national record and third all-time youth best.

At the 2010 World Junior Championships in Athletics, Pedersen won the gold with a time of 13.30 seconds, a national junior record.
