Isaiah Chawai Balat is a Nigerian politician and business man from Kaduna State
who was Senator for Kaduna South from May 2003 to May 2007.

He ran successfully for election as Senator for Kanduna South in April 2003 on the People's Democratic Party
(PDP) platform.
He was a strong contender to be the PDP candidate for governor of Kaduna State in 2007, but lost to Namadi Sambo, who went on to be elected.
He established the Isaiah Balat Foundation, which has the goal of vaccinating over a million people across Kaduna state against Meningitis
