The city today, with 48,470, with great potential in education, in particular network featuring four major school systems, and is headquarters of the Educational Foundation of Ituverava, entity maintains conceptualized in two colleges in the region and country, Fafram (Faculty Dr. Francisco Maeda) and FFCL (Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters of Ituverava). Within tourism, the city has the Museum, the Cultural Center, the Our Lady of Caramel Church, Our Lady of the Rosary and St. John the Baptist, the Ten Square March, one of the most beautiful in the country, the Park Playground (where Salto waterfall is located Brilhante that called the city) and Paulo Borges pond, is part of the tourist Portinari Project.
The economy is predominantly agricultural, based on the cultivation of soybeans, corn, cotton and sugar cane. Presents a strong trade and service sector advanced. At 120 years, Ituverava trail a path of development, strengthening its roots in the region of Upper Mogiana, not as the warehouse of troops and travelers, but as a prosperous city and as its name says: brilliant.
